Equipping Preachers in a Digital Age
As part of LWPT’s commitment to supporting preachers and church leaders across all denominations in the UK, we continue to develop an ever-growing range of online resources, almost all of which are free to access.
Engagement with our digital content is growing rapidly and we are delighted to see so many people benefiting from these resources. At the same time, we remain fully committed to our trusted printed publications – Preach, Ichthus and Bible Month – ensuring that our support is available in the formats that best serve our diverse community.
In late 2025, we were pleased to launch LWPT’s podcast, The Word Shared, further enriching our digital offering for preachers and church leaders. New episodes are released every other Wednesday and are on all major listening platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube. Through interviews with Christian leaders, conversations with authors, and insights from influencers across the Christian spectrum, The Word Shared offers inspiration for preaching and sermon preparation, alongside thoughtful reflection and encouragement for personal growth and leadership within church and community life.
Thank you to everyone who has tuned in to The Word Shared so far. We pray these conversations have been a blessing and we’d love you to continue sharing the podcast with friends and family. We’ve enjoyed some rich and engaging conversations with Andrew Ollerton, David F Ford, and Kirsten Birkett on her commentary on Proverbs, with these released as individual episodes over the coming weeks.
Coming up soon, we’ll also be speaking with one of our former column writers about her article from Preach issue 31, Joy, our secret weapon. However you listen, we’d love to hear from you – please consider leaving us a review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. preachweb.org/podcast
Looking ahead, 2026 will see a programme of six online events, made up of both workshops and webinars. We began the year with an in-depth workshop from Dr Debra Reid, former tutor at Spurgeon’s College and author, exploring how to preach faithfully from the Old Testament. Coming up is Ian Coffey, Director of Leadership Training at Moorlands College, on the four worlds a preacher might find themselves navigating and how to engage them wisely.
You’ll also hear from Alexander Chow, Senior Lecturer in Theology and World Christianity at the University of Edinburgh, who’ll explore the history of migratory Christians, particularly in light of the growing cultural diversity of the UK Church.
For the latest updates, keep an eye on our website at preachweb.org/workshops or on social media and subscribe to our eNews to hear what’s next. And, a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who supports our work through donations when signing up for our online events. Your generosity makes these resources possible.
Details of broadcast dates and catch-up viewing will be shared via email, our website and social media channels.

In the current issue of Preach
It’s the second book of the Bible but Exodus is also a book of beginnings as the children of Israel become a nation in covenant with God and are given laws with which to know and follow him.
Amidst the thrilling events and miracles that have inspired Hollywood films, there are questions about how we best read the book today as New Covenant believers. What role should the Ten Commandments and other laws play today? And what does this book teach us about God who revealed himself to these former slaves on their way to the Promised Land? More here.
Coming up in Preach 47
In Issue 47, Preach turns to the biblical call for God’s people to be set apart for the sake of others, exploring how Scripture shapes our understanding of community, connection and service and what faithful engagement beyond the Church might look like today.
This issue examines the heart, aims and practices of Christian engagement – asking what the Bible means by connection, what faithful goals look like, and how we can serve our communities well.
Alongside our regular contributors, focused articles address homelessness, the public square and local government, while also exploring key questions about social action, gospel proclamation and working alongside non-Christian organisations.
Lend your voice to their calling
We’re excited to share that LWPT will soon be launching a new Ambassador Programme. This programme is designed for people who are actively involved in a church or church organisation, have a little spare time and believe in the work of LWPT to support and develop preachers across the UK.
Through the Ambassador Programme, we hope to spread the word about LWPT more widely, helping us grow our network of supporters and enable even more student preachers, Bible teachers, and church leaders to flourish.
We’re currently developing a range of simple communication resources to support ambassadors in sharing the story of LWPT and the impact of our work. Recruitment for ambassadors will begin shortly. If this sounds like something you, or someone you know, might be interested in, please keep an eye on your inbox and our social media channels in the coming weeks.
Thank you, as always, for being part of the LWPT community and for your continued support.
