Interview in conversation with Dennis Lockwood

DENNIS LOCKWOOD might be the record-winner for being the longest serving preacher in a single district. As of March 2018, he has been a Local Methodist Preacher in the same circuit for 60 years – and counting! He was also a long-serving committee member with LPMA/LWPT.
Could you explain your long connection with the LPMA/LWPT?
My circuit was Gainsborough, now part of Wolds and Trent Circuit and we have supported LPMA/ LWPT work for the 60 years that I’ve been preaching. I also served on the General Committee of LPMA/LWPT for 16 years – that meant overseeing the finances and management. (LPMA, Methodist Local Preachers Mutual Aid Association is now LWPT, the Leaders of Worship and Preachers Trust.)
I’m sure you’ll have some wisdom to pass on after 60 years on the preaching circuit, but first can you explain where your faith began?
