View from the pew What are they thinking?
Author: Andy PeckPost Date: 09.09.15
Context: Lively Anglican church in the north-east of England Service: 11.15am family service The preacher is a young man – I would think probably in his mid-twenties. He is working in a Bible college in Asia, and he has a winsome, friendly style that means although this is not somewhere he is well known, we are all quickly comfortable with him. His accent is a fascinating mishmash of influences. I have to deliberately stop myself dissecting it at the expense of catching the content of what he’s saying. Preacher: One of the church’s mission partners, home on leave Sermon duration: 30 minutes Key passage: The book of Jonah
