Digital technology changes so fast that it can be difficult to keep up, and it often divides congregations as much as it unites them. Some people still don’t understand how to use email, while others are happy to sit and tweet in church. Some people have a million electronic devices and others can’t afford any at all. But whether we find technology exciting or daunting, an opportunity or just another thing that excludes us, it’s increasingly changing the way we live and work as Christians. Our daily lives are more and more dependent on computers, algorithms, and digital technology. So what kind of good news should Christians be preaching in this digital age, and what kind of questions should we be asking?
